Nearly 30 years ago my parents bought a rustic Quinta in the western Algarve, Portugal - that’s how my love affair with this part of the world began.
The natural beauty, high, blue skies, the wide, winding sandy beaches & the clear blue ocean. Olive, orange, lemon, almond, pomegranate and fig trees growing in the garden. Guinea fowl roaming freely and swallows nesting in the corners of the house. The food and folk are wonderful too in equal measure.
Like many, I adore my home to smell beautiful with delicious fragrances from candles and diffusers. Soaking up creative inspiration under the Portuguese sun a couple of summers ago, I decided to create my own home fragrance brand …CHAMA… meaning; ‘flame’ in Portuguese.
Each CHAMA scent is inspired by my love of Portugal. The Portuguese name given to each takes you to a place, a time, a feeling.
My parents loved Portugal. They were my flames and the CHAMA brand is dedicated to them.
